Find a wonderful partner in 2011! |
|

We’re well into 2011 now and it’s about time you checked in on how your year is progressing
I know you may have started out your year with loads of good intentions, but sometimes just weeks into our ‘big year’ we find ourselves losing momentum, not keeping on track, slipping back into old habits … you know what I mean … and suddenly you are back … to…square… one – oops.
Like when it comes to sticking to our New Year’s resolution to find a partner.
You had all intentions of signing up to the local golf club/social media group/tennis club/ballroom dancing group where you would increase your chances of meeting a new partner and also have fun doing something you enjoy. And you also had planned to sit down and refine that online dating site profile. And planned to get your friend to take a gorgeous new pic of you to post on the site, the same friend you were going to ask to come along to the speed dating night with you. Remember?
Suddenly you look around and your NYE 2011 Resolutions all derailed – I suppose there’s always next year?
NO WAY I SAY!
Stop right there – that is NOT good enough for your life.
Don’t you want to make the changes necessary to have a sensational life now?
It’s not too late and here are some easy ways you can get back on the right track now!
• Get out your list of 2011 goals and go through each one noting whether or not you have made any small steps toward any of them – perhaps you had started the dating site profile and not finished it or you had made the enquiry about the social media networking group but hadn’t put a date in your diary to go along. All is not lost, congratulate yourself from starting on the path of success and now follow up on these actions.
• If you haven’t written out your goals imagine today is January 1 – or at the very least, it is the first day of the rest of your life!
Write them out NOW!
It’s not too late – get out a blank sheet of paper or buy yourself a gorgeous new journal and list them all – it doesn’t really matter how or where you write them down but make sure you DO write them. (I still have the folded up pieces of paper with my goals written on that I kept squirrelled away in bedroom drawers.
The nice thing is to be able to read them and recognise that they all happened!) Now write in the action steps of how you are going to get there. Put deadlines in your diary and start immediately! Build in a reward system so you can look forward to your celebration milestones along the way
• Put the date in your diary of the event you had chosen to go along to – be it a speed dating night or a social event for singles - ring to book in – that way you are committed and make sure you tell a few friends you are going along so there is even more reason for you to stick to the goal.
• Finish off your dating profile and post it! Go on, the quicker you start this process the quicker you will find yourself a wonderful partner and start enjoying the life you are dreaming of. Be honest, be brave, get out there, you’re just as good as anyone else!
Good luck – this year will be your year – I can just feel it!
